Pass Me Faster has just received information from the government regarding the question on everyone’s lips – When Will Driving Lessons Start.
The information comes to us via the DVSA and is for our driving instructors and also learner drivers waiting to take their driving test during the Coronavirus Pandemic.

DVSA’s Latest Information
Following our Coronavirus update on the 22nd April 2020 from DVSA regarding restrictions to learning to drive, we’ve just received some more information.
When Will Driving Lessons Start – What’s The News Boris
Due to the risk of transmission being higher in enclosed spaces (vehicles), driving instruction and tests have not yet been able to re-start. During the Prime Ministers statement on the 10th June, he did reiterate that some areas may be slower than others coming out of lockdown. Driving Instruction and tests will only restart when the government warrants it safe. Further details and scientific advice are still inconclusive, so driving lessons (apart from key workers) are still off the cards as of today (16th June 2020).
We have heard a little roomer that things could get restarted mid-July but this isn’t official.
If we hear anything we will let you know.
Driving Lessons, practical tests, and theory tests will continue to be limited to key workers preparing for emergency tests only.
What Can You Do In The Meantime
Getting on the road and enjoying your freedom is one of life’s greatest pleasures. We feel for everyone chomping at the bit to get cracking with their lessons.
Why not make sure your ready for your theory test whilst driving tests and lessons are still suspended. The Theory test is suspended until the 3rd of July 2020. Unless you are a key worker, you can’t book a test at the moment.
BUT WAIT –
That doesn’t stop you from preparing for it.
